This is the 3nd issue of your Council’s new monthly newsletter. Its purpose is to let our members know what we have done and what we will be doing in the upcoming months. Council 2014 has become an ACTIVE Council, and we hope that this newsletter inspires those of you who have been sitting on the sidelines to become ACTIVE members of our Council.

February and March Council Meetings
Our February 2 Council Meeting will be held at the Church on Roosevelt Avenue immediately following the INTO THE BREACH Presentation!
Our March meeting will be held on MARCH 9 as March 2nd is Ash Wednesday!

If you haven’t been to a meeting in a while, Please come to this one!!! At our January Meeting, Bruce Wilson would have won $150! ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS BE THERE!
Our February Attendance Drawing will be for $175!
Fat Tuesday Bus Trip to Jackpot, Nevada
The Knights and the Catholic Daughters have chartered a bus for a Fat Tuesday trip to Cactus Pete’s in Jackpot, Nevada. Seating is limited so reserve your seat on the bus early.
The cost of the trip is $40 per person.

A Special Plea for Help
The Council has allocated funds to fix our BBQ trailer but can’t find anyone to do the work. We need to remove and replace the burners and gas piping in the trailer. If you know of anyone who can
do this work, please call:

Into the Breach
Wednesday, February 2 & Wednesday, February 9
There are only 2 sessions left in our 6-week video series INTO THE BREACH. This series presents Bishop Thomas Olmsted’s challenge to Catholic men to step Into the Breach. It explores the crisis of faith facing the Church today and presents a vision of the role of Catholic men in combatting it. ALL OF OUR MEMBERS ARE URGED TO ATTEND THIS IMPORTANT PRESENTATION. BRING A FRIEND, ALL MEN ARE WELCOME! The series is held at the Church on Roosevelt Avenue, starting at 6:30 PM on Wednesday nights.
Basketball Free-Throw Contest
On January 9th, the Council held its Free-Throw Contest. We had 9 participants competing in various age groups. Pictured are Knights Steve Green, Jose Castellon, and Nick Bronk with the winners.

Mass Volunteers Needed
Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers, and Ushers are needed at all of the Masses at St. Paul’s. If you are ready to take the next step as a Catholic Gentleman, call the Parish Office at 208-466-7031 and…

Lenten Fish Frys
Dates: March 4, March 18, March 25, and April 1
When: 4:30pm until 1 hour after English Stations
Where: St. Paul’s Church – Marist Hall
The Council is putting on 4 Fish Frys this year. We will need lots of help to set up, cook, serve, take money, and clean up. If you can help at any or all of these events, contact Dave King at 301-943-0911.
